“En Travesti has managed to ground an evening of exquisite music in meticulously-researched
gender theory and musical history…stellar performances”
Kaite Welsh.
The F word.

Juditha Triumphans stands as the centrepiece of En Travesti’s 2010 concert series,
an exploration of forgotten and neglected repertoire created for high voiced
singers of many and varied genders: female sopranos (en travesti or otherwise),
castrati, male sopranos and everything in between.

We very much look forward to seeing you there

This is a new performing edition of Vivaldi's only surviving oratorio, Juditha Triumphans. In this captivating re-telling of the Biblical story of Judith’s victory over the Assyrian army, I am singing the role of Juditha, a strong, pious and courageous woman who triumphs over the evil leader of the Assyrian army and leads her people to victory and bliss - nothing less! Vivaldi’s dramatic baroque music has been rescored for modern orchestra, chorus and soprano soloists.

This is a big and exciting project for En Travesti Ensemble and I would be so grateful if you would a) come to the concert and b) promote it to everyone you can think of and get them to come along with you to enjoy an evening of beautiful music performed by young up-and-coming musicians and singers. Tickets are best bought in advance over Ticket Web as they are cheaper and you will be guaranteed a place.

The concert is on August 25th at 7:30 pm in the beautiful All Saints Church in Fulham. The performance is expected to last approximately two hours, with one interval of half an hour. The audience is warmly invited to stay for a reception following the concert.

We are a young company and need all the support we can get so we appreciate any help you can give us in promoting this concert.
